Love your food! However, please keep your Google and Yelp hours updated regularly. I visited last night only to find you closed, which was very disappointing.

We took a group this week and it was awesome... the restaurant was recently remodeled and the layout and design complements the attention to detail they provide on the food and service. The farm grown ingredients make everything super fresh. The lamb was so tasty, and I'm not a huge lamb fan. The baked Alaska was to die for. Great service and attention to detail throughout the entire meal. Well done to the staff... they closed out our departure knowing we were walking on a cold damp night with a "to-go" hot chocolate that was unsolicited. Definitely dine here!

I attended a tour and the taste of San Francisco event at local spot called " Local". As their website mentions they have a wine program from California to Portugal. I thought it was all about the food here but it was a drink tasting event of the different San Francisco neighborhoods so called signature drinks. This taste tour of San Francisco was a private event with an open bar. I had to go through different San Francisco districts from zip code to Sip code ( zip code). Let's start with the food since I left another open bar because they ran out of food. Here they had cocktail shrimps and it was ready for the dipping with traditional San Francisco cocktail sauce which you would get at any crab stand at the Pier. They had Fisherman Wharf style pizza ( it is a thing). Then they had the Mission District Style Burrito (had to represent ). Then the North Beach cannoli for dessert. The vibe was right with music pumping out the speakers. As the drinks were started to flow. First they had a wine tasting room but I was getting first class personal service by ordering the drinks on my request. Although I was drinking Pinot Noir most of the time , I did participate on the taste of San Francisco menu. First there was Nob Hill and they had my classic " Old Fashion" with bourbon, bitters and simple syrup. I then headed to North Beach the Local Spritz Aperol, vodka, lemon and sparkling wine (for the Summertime). Then headed towards the FiDi ( Financial District) and had the "Old Cuban" with Rum , mint, lime and bitters. Then circled back to repeat again with the " Old Fashion ". I will always be down for San Francisco and will always be an advocate and very vocal To enjoy the city and county of San Francisco as visitor or a local and go on taste tour at Local

Good food and fantastic service. I think Local Kitchen is a great location and vibe for a team dinner, happy hour, or just a casual, post-work meal. My friends ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and Shrimp Penne Alla Vodka, and they both enjoyed their dishes. I ordered the Garden Party Pizza after reading all the great reviews. It was very yummy and also quite large! The crust was your classic American style, neither thin nor super thick and dense. It was fluffy and crisp on the outside, which is always great. I enjoyed all the vegetables as toppings, because not only was there a good variety of colors and flavors, but I was also able to convince myself that it was kinda like eating a salad! While the food was enjoyable, the main reason I am rating this spot so highly is the service. I don't recall their names now, but all the staff were very kind and accommodating. There were a couple mix-ups with my pizza at first (it was a new cook's first day, he did great!!), and they kindly re-did things and provided a generous discount for the inconvenience, which I was not expecting. Good service is always a huge plus for me. All in all, I would recommend checking out Local Kitchen for solid American food in Rincon Hill!

I like their pizza! Thin crust and a good temperature even when you do take out. Gorgeous ambiance inside, I imagine their breakfast and happy hour to be quite popular as well. Given their location, I bet the get a lot of foot traffic from the surrounding apartments. Friendly service, I'd recommend their pizza!

Refreshing my review from a few years ago and have still been coming back regularly! Local kitchen definitely has seen lots of changes and they continue to make small edits to their menu. Overall, it's a solid spot for a casual dinner and you can always snag a seat easily. Their pizzas have been pretty consistent over the years and always a good choice. We recently started to branch out and try their other dishes. This last time we got the meatballs and melon plate with prosciutto to start with. Both were good and the melon plate was good but not sure if I would go for it again since it was an interesting mix of fruit and savory items. I also got the That Green Drink cocktail which was a little bit spicy and delicious! I also did the happy hour red wine which wasn't that good but it was HH so didn't expect too much. For my main, I went with the carbonara which I surprisingly liked a lot! It had a great cheesy but lighter sauce and good pieces of peas and thick chunks of bacon Lastly on service, generally very nice waiters but they've had small misses a few times that we came. Like this time they forgot another ingredient that was an add on to one of our dishes and did something similar last time BUT they're good about fixing it quickly so not huge issue

Nikolas, one of the managers, reached out to me almost immediately after my review. He seemed very sincere in his efforts to make it right. He was apologetic about what happened and offered for me to come back and give them another try. I decided to try the vadouvan chicken, as well as the local pizza this time. My friends and I really enjoyed them. The local pizza was a tad greasy but the flavors of both were great and I'm glad I gave them another try. I hope this restaurant does well in the future

Local Kitchen has a great happy hour and serves high quality pizzas in the Rincon Hill neighborhood. I've come here for their HH which is from Tues - Sat, 4:00 to 6:00 pm and they have a variety of cocktails, beers, wines, and bar bites to choose from. I've also gotten their pizza as takeout and was surprised by how good it was. The crust was perfectly crisp and chewy and they had a good selection of flavors. The truffle fungi and vodka chicken were our favorites. Lastly, service at this restaurant is wonderful. When we came on a Friday evening, we were surprised to see the restaurant completely empty but the staff was still enthusiastic and bubbly!
